Before any sharpening or repair work begins, all shears undergo a thorough inspection to ensure optimal performance. Our inspection includes:

  • Initial Cut Test (if it’s sharp I will not sharpen them)
  • Tip Alignment
  • Blade  Nicks
  • Proper Convex or Bevel Angle
  • Handle Alignment
  • Bumper Condition

Sharpening

Our comprehensive sharpening service includes the following steps to restore your shears to peak performance:

  • 10-Point Inspection
  • Convex Sharpening or Bevel Sharpening (Design Dependent)
  • Recondition of the Ride-Line through a multi-step hand water stone process
  • Oil and Clean
  • Part Replacement
  • Final Assembly and Handle adjustment
  • Cut test.
